:(

Last night my little family came to the realization that our new addition was not a good fit for us.
Little E and I cried ourselves to sleep.
Z too is a bit upset and I don't know how to make them feel better.
Seven is a gorgeous creature who needs some one who can help her with her little aggressive side. I've always followed my mommy instincts and my instincts were full alarm when I started to notice her behaviour. I guess I didn't want to really see it at first but I had too, my boys come first.
I don't know, Little E in full tears asked if he could have a puppy, he really wants a puppy.
I just don't know, What if we just aren't lucky ones when it comes to dogs.
A crippled pup and a pup who seemed to be wired a bit differently.
Sigh.
I guess only time will tell what will happen next.

Lucky number Seven.

A bit late to be blogging for the day, but I had to introduce the new member of our family.
We've been wanting a pet but were waiting for the right one to come along and she did.
Thanks to a lovely woman who rescued her from the streets and to our dear friend Mrs. Anne who knew exactly what we were looking for and saw it in Seven.
We were looking for a Doberman mix but this sweet little Rotty/Shepard mix fell into our lap.
Well thats what we think she is, but you all know how that goes.
We've started crate training, she gets her doctor visit this coming week and already started leash training her.
As for the name...why Seven?
Well Nick and I had a dog named Aspyn and had planned to get her a buddy and name it Seven.
We gave the boys a choice...Seven or Aspyn, Zenon said..."Seven Aspyn..lets put them together."
Well how can you say no to that?
Though I've met my match...she's really hard to photograph.

Let the leash training begin.
She's doing pretty good, no longer bucking.

Asleep in Nick's arms..she did ALOT of backyard playing.

The marriage, the kids, the house and the dog...our little family is complete.

Busy Busy Busy weekend!

My dear friend's husband turned 40 this week and as a gift to them I made him a birthday cake.
Of course Little E insisted on helping, I never turn away good help.
They had a HUGE backyard Birthday BBQ, Nick, the boys and I partied the night away until morning, 1:00 a.m. to be exact......seriously.

This was the end product.
I think it came out pretty good considering I didn't really have a decorating plan when I started it. I just knew the theme was over the hill.

Our fun continued Friday night , we had a blast and after the fun Nick and I went to see Star Trek. The movie was great, and I have a crush on the new Spock....he's H-O-T...HOT!

The Flower, The Jeep and the Wardrobe Malfunction.

The Flower:

Little E was in a music program yesterday. He didn't smile once the whole time during their performance.

I LOVED watching them sing in with these little flower get ups.
Too cute!
He was so serious I even tried making goofy faces to get him to crack a smile...nope he just ignored me.

Afterwards they served refreshments and he was all smiles then.
He even told me "Mommy I saw you do this" and proceeded to stick his tongue out the side of his mouth.
NOW you laugh.

The Jeep:

Nick put his Jeep on craigslist and two guys came to check it out yesterday.
They took a test drive with Nick and afterwards paid cash on the spot....aaaaallllllright.
Why the pictures?
I wasn't letting my husband get in the Jeep with two strangers and not have evidence if something went wrong.
There are crazies on craigslist....plus I'm really uptight, I should lay off the daily paper a bit.

The Wardrobe Malfunction:

I keep my blinds open to let in natural sunlight and while tidying my kitchen up saw this!

Whoa! a man climbing a flag pole and in the process losing his pants.
Cover your eyes boys...this isn't pretty.
(Your lucky the pic is blurry...trust me!)
Nick was grumpy that I called him into the kitchen to see, well....I thought it was funny :).

They guys grandma is SUPER sweet and apologized to me a few days before her grandkids arrived, I couldn't understand why, now I know.

Happy Mother's Day to me!

Friday Z's school had Buddy Day, an event I volunteered all day for. I was stationed at the Football Run with my friend Letty, we chatted and cracked up at some of these silly kids.
And of course I snapped pics of my Z.
I think his Pop's heart skipped a beat when he saw this picture...he said his boy looked like a football player.
Aye yay yay...men!
If he goes that route great. Most importantly I want them to be whatever makes them happy, and hopefully its Recession proof.

Saturday we went to visit Aunt Judy.
The boys love it out there and I love to look at Uncle Dave's garden.
I planted onions for the first time in my garden and had a few questions for Uncle Dave since he too planted some this year. He pulled this bad boy up for me, what should I cook it up with???
Chicken Fajitas??
Seriously, nothings better than home grown.
Ask him for some Melons when they come up....OH MY I shall never buy store bought melons again, they are dead to me because his are to die for!!

The boys played tag and were doing who knows what behind Uncle Dave's trailer, oh who cares they had a blast.

That evening they went to spend the night with their Mamaw and Papaw.
(Thanks John and Debbie for having the boys over, made my Mother's day very nice, a movie AND I got to sleep in SUPER late! 10:20!!!! Except I missed church, not good.)
Nick and I headed to the movie theatre for my Mother's Day treat.
Just Nick, I, Hugh Jackman's bare bottom and Ryan Reynold's guns.....Can you say Happy Mother's Day to Me?!?
We were out of the theatre at about 2:00 a.m. and decided to take a "were deliriously tired" picture.

Or maybe because were so terribly happy.
Happy to have our family, happy to have one another and he's happy that he watched his X-Men movie, I'm happy I got to see him below!!!

Oh Ryan Reynolds...sigh.
I really likey the Ryan Reynolds.
Soooooo easy on the eyes and VERY funny to watch.
I guess I'm a sucker for cute boys that make me laugh til' my sides split.
That's why I married this cute boy below who ALWAYS makes me laugh.
Seriously...ALWAYS makes me laugh.

A sucker for them I tell ya, just plain sucker!
I hope you all had a Happy Mother's Day, I know I did.

KARMA

On our grocery day E and I go to about 1-2 grocery stores.
On one of our stops at my little Latin grocery store I was waiting for a vehicle to pull out so I could park...ahhhh I was about to get princess parking when a jerk totally swung into my spot!
That blankity blank.
Oh I was hot!I mouthed a nasty towards him with out really saying it because E was seated behind me and he'll totally rat me out to his pops.
While driving toward another not so princessy spot the mans vehicle died on him.
I thought I was going to die I was laughing so hard!
I looked at Little E as we were getting out and said "See that?" "That's Karma.....and he sure did get his come-upins!"
I went into the store and couldn't believe how happy I was that his car broke down on him.
It was such a rush I can't even explain.
Happiness is what I felt.
I pranced in the grocery store, Little E got himself a donut and I picked up three Mexican cokes for pops...I thought, he'll love this.
On my way out the man came in with his son and I was tempted to sneer at him.
I took Little E by the hand, paid my purchases and walked out the door.
Deep inside I knew it was wrong to feel so happy that his vehicle had died on him.
I knew it was wrong to tell E that the man had received his Come-Upins.
Then I noticed he must of restarted his vehicle and had been able to park properly.
Then while loading Little E into the van I dropped one of my grocery bags on the ground.
Yup the one carrying the glass bottled Mexican cokes, two of them died :(.
Sigh
Karma came for me too.
I should of just left it at the fact that the man did something wrong but that was that and gone on my way.
Instead I relished what happened to him.
Lesson learned.
I don't want to know what would of happened to me if I had waited and keyed his car.

Chicken with my head cut off.

Past two weeks....

Preparing for my race, running my race-John and I did great...though I whined..sorry John, wasn't feeling too great,
Tire issues,
Mother/Daughter(Without my mom :(, mom wish you had been here, can't wait to see you) Luncheon,
Played the tooth fairy, Z lost his first set of teeth.
Family BBQ so much fun and exhausting thank goodness for liquor,
Teacher appreciation week,
School volunteer,
MAJOR grocery shopping for the month,
Bridal shower planning-Should be so cute!,
Leaky ceiling, clean up mess from leaky ceiling,
babysat Twice this week,
School Field Day volunteer,
More Family gatherings/parties,
Getting ready to make a HUGE cake for a friends party and planning our camping trip...phew, I am exhausted!
This doesn't even include house chores, errands and screaming children. I have burned the candle at both ends and am officially BURNED OUT!
I am super tired.
You know your super tired when you fall asleep during a conversation with your husband...so sad.
I haven't had the energy to run since Saturday, I started to yesterday but I was sleepy, couldn't do it.
Must take multi-vitamins and add more Protein into my diet.
And I have figured something out!
I have been feeling really exhausted almost sick for like two weeks. Aside from just doggone tired I think I am going through caffeine withdrawal.
I haven't been getting my daily caffeine like I usually do.
I've had some at Tonya's or at the Luncheon but at home I checked my soda and they are all caffeine free.
You know where I'm going today....The store to buy all sorts of caffeine...I NEED IT!

Keeping them busy.

Tonya, Presley and Piper came by Friday to visit Little E and I.
The kids kept busy the whole time between running around in the backyard, baking cookies and drawing.
The piece Presley's working on right there was a gift to me :)

Saturday was SUPER exhausting. Woke up at 5:30 am, met John up by the lake for our 5 mile race. Which we ran in 52 minutes, not bad if I do say so myself. Then quick trip to the grocery store (yes stinky and all), home to take a quick shower and head to the Church's Mother's Day dinner. I fell like a ton of bricks when I got home.

Luckily my darling Nick suggested I go take a nap, which I did..for 3 hours.

Sunday was church and then a Grill out at Tonya's.
The kids had a blast and in the process drove us to insanity.
They played with play dough, watched movies, ran around screaming, then more screaming and More screaming and pretty much gave us mom's migraines because during this whole process we were in the kitchen trying to get lunch ready.

The guys were in the garage building their bikes.
I like this pic of Nick :)

Guy's doing their "Man" thing.

After dinner and the kids were finally settled down...a tad.
Us moms went on a 2 mile walk.

See Karen, this is what Tonya and I meant about walking and shooting.
I like this pic of you...you look skinny, I'm jealous.

As the evening wound down we sat around the table planned our trip and drank.
Yes, the kids actually drove us to that.
A little wine or mixed drinks....or both, never hurt anyone.
Especially some whipped moms.

Oh and this lovely picture below?

This is what I found while making the boys' beds this morning.
They drew on their bedsheets....BEDSHEETS!
I wasn't mad though, I'll give them props for creativity.
I'll take this over non-creative, couch potato, video game hungry, robotic kids any day.
