A day of wonderfullness......

The day was scorching, 96 degrees to be exact. Oh you've got to love Texas.
Yet, we spent our day outdoors. We went to Tonya's, me, Nie and the boys.
My trio had some serious playing to do!

Mags and Nie after their SUPER long walk to the park...yeah I'm being sarcastic they walked like 3 minutes to the park and were OH SO TIRED!

The kids played pretend(LOVE watching children use their imagination!). Presley and E were Mommy and Daddy.
They drove their kids, Z and Piper to McDonalds, then proceeded to leave their kids in the car as they two strolled into pretend McDonalds for Chicken Nuggets.
Tonya told them leaving their kids was against the law...I laughed, they responded with "Nuh ugh" and continued with their pretend order.

We had lunch at Rosa's Tortilla Factory?? I think that was the name of it.
It was good, cheap and the atmosphere was fun, can you tell with those faces?

I love this pic. Came out a bit blurry but oh so sweet.
I told T that her girls may not have brothers, but they have a slew of male cousins. I feel sorry for the sap that breaks these girls hearts. They'll have a swarm of testosterone boys headed his way.

Checking out duckies.

We saw a bunny...a baby bunny!

I hadn't notice while we were there but check out Z. He's holding on to Presley....super cute.
While it looks like E and Pipey might be having a stare down...I wouldn't be surprised if they were!

The day was fabulous and I think another play date is in order....Does Tuesday sound good to you??

Niner, Niner

Well it's almost here!
Nine years, Nine years of wedded bliss?
Come on it's not ALL wedded bliss right?
Well ours is pretty close.
I've heard many a times people say "I married my best friend."
Did you really?
Were you all platonic before you became an item?
I know pretty catty of me but it's true..right?
Nick and I really never dated honestly, unless you consider our buddy outings dates...I guess one could.
I only know one other person who can say they married their best friend....and your probably reading this....you know who you are....ahem...T!
Well Nick and I were buds.
We did all the buddy things together.
I tried to hook him up with the cute Victoria Secrets sales girl who wanted his number.
He held my hair back when I had too much to drink.
We dieted all week long and at then he stayed late on Fridays so we could wait for the clock to strike midnight and RUN to the coke machine, drink sodas and pull out the hidden box of girl scout cookies.
We played with Kimmy and played with my nieces.
I pierced my body, he rolled his eyes and told me I was crazy.
I took him Gatorade and jello to his place when he was sick.
He did funny skits for me when I was sick.
We tried to dance a jitterbug, he flipped me... I fell on my head.
We truly were best friends.
So much so we feared when it became more, we didn't want this to end bad and lose the friendship we had created.
Well 12 years later here we are, still best of friends, I still punch him in the arm when he makes fun of me, we still diet and run to a snacky snack when the weekend hits, we still chase each other with cold cups of water..who can get doused first! But now we each wear a wedding band, have two little boys, a pooch and made a house a home.
Wow! I guess it pays off to be friends first doesn't it?

Memorial Day weekend and the new weekend is almost here!

This past weekend we spent in the O.C.
It was fabulous and quiet, just me, Nick, the boys and Nie.
The guys did some swimming, I got eaten by mosquito's.
We fought off a few wasps and attacked a few nests, but with all the buzzies we saw we must have missed a few nests.

We introduced Nie to the pool and she looked super cute swimming away........

and away and away until she was out of there!
Nie's not a fan of the pool.
