I never knew her just had seen her in passing.
Her head covered up due to loss of hair, but a smile on her face as she took her little one to school.
My heart ached reading that email.
I couldn't stop thinking of a woman I never met.
Nick was saddened to hear of her passing and looked glassy eyed thinking of her husbands loss.
We held our kids a bit tighter and tried not to let too much bother us this weekend.
Please keep the family in your prayers.

That is so sad...I feel so sad for her young children and her husband. When my mom was 9, she lost her mother to cancer. Her mother was only in her early 30's...isn't that awful? I remember once asking my mom," How did you get over it?" I was only 8 or 9 at the time and didn't understand the meaning of death. I'll never forget my mom's answer...she looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, " It's something you never get over." I remember feeling so sad for my mom and trying to imagine what she must feel. I THANK GOD everyday that I have her and that she's well and healthy.
The family will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers.
