Z's class had a trip to the zoo, where I ACTUALLY ran into Tonya (cookiesoup).
How funny is that?
He loved watching those ducks.
This rainbow maker was pretty cool.
Trip to the park with the family that same afternoon.

Z skinned his knee something awful.
Thank goodness mom's always prepared with a first aid kit!
Saturday:
In the A.m. it was off to Home Depot's Kids workshop.
They built bird houses, they are PRETTY neat.
And these shops are free people!!!
Yup kids get to make things with their hands and bring it home.
We ran into a free Easter festival.
Needless to say we raced home for Easter baskets.
It was small but the boys enjoyed themselves.
They got to plant their own flower in a pot.
They knew exactly where they wanted to put it....
Butterfly garden.
After the festival we went to the park.
Why waste a beautiful day.
Did some playing, trail walking and learning.
The boys thought this guy was cool....we learned how he will turn into a butterfly one day.

Lastly, the planting and watering of their flowers.
Our weekend was wonderful...and almost all free :)
I really wanted to go to this Arts festival Tonya told us about.
But Nick was supposed to do some side jobs that got moved last minute.
So we decided to just hang out.
But as you can see we stayed pretty busy.
